pulling is sort of a last-resort thing to do in the event that the groups don't fight each other from the start.

btw, I went in sometime without mantra of lighting (forgot it) and I cleared the forest without any further problems. only thing is watch your energy against the shepherds. for the rest when you run low on hp just use trolls. might replace this1 with other skill, any suggestions?

if you're gonna take out mantra of lightning... there's always Favorable Winds... *shrug*

nicely done. now that i've done it a few times i've gotten used to it and have a total of 100 shards now
thnx a lot
- btw i use a 15^50 enternal bow instead of the dragos and i do fine but the range is a little troublesome...( i use 15k studded armor for the lightneing resitance as i see your energy didn't drop below 20 or am i wrong?)

Don't know if the studded leather is such a good idea. The damage received from the lightning attacks is so low that the energy pips from druids is probably the better choice.

Flatbow. They have the same range, but Flatbow shoots faster (2 seconds) instead of the Longbow's (2.5 seconds).

of coure its all right, its even better lol, +5 dmg or 20% armor penetration with 205 chance, +5 dmg at an attac it +20% dmg, same as it would be modified to you, + it heals you for 5 dmg, I use vampiric instead of 20/20 when solo fow.

Just make sure (well, you won't die but just waste energy) you don't shoot it while you have iron mist on you (not that you ever have that ofcourse )
Love it

that right there is pretty awesome... dual shot without the damage penalty and the old recharge. nice find

I use:
Inspiration magic - 9
Expertise - 7+2
Wilderness - 11 + 4
Marksmanship - 10+1
My health is at 411, since i dont use fort mods on either of my bows. For running, i just take along either Ilyana's Staff or Morgriff's Scepter.
Poison Arrow
Distracting Shot
Savage Shot
Kindle Arrows
Troll Unguent
Storm Chaser
Mantra of Lightning
Physical Resistance
Distracting shot makes killing spiders a piece of cake - once they spawn, distract poison, then hit savage shot - you will interrupt Healing spring. Go into PR and cast Troll's and kindle. Use poison arrow every so often, but do no overuse, because you want to catch healing spring/poison the next time u see it (usually when spider is at 20-25% health). Distracting Shot buys you an extra 20 seconds of time.
Distracting poison relieves ALOT of pressure from healing, and you end up spending less time casting troll unguent, since you dont loose as much health.

Hmmm, this is quite interesting. Went out and bought Drago's Flatbow, though I'm not sure were she got that -2dmg stance longbow, so I settled for Lorelle's Longbow for the added poison duration and the +7 armor instead. Guess you have to spend money to make money, eh? Heh, well once Europe stops taking our favor I'm off to try it. Thanks for the videos in the initial post, it helps a lot to see it actually done then trying to udnerstand through text alone. =^_^=

You dont really need a Flatbow imo :\
I've done this many, many times and all I needed was a Poisonous Longbow(15^50/15(stance)) of Fortitude. Drago's Flat is overrated anyway
Yeah...ok...interrupting Healing Spring is a little easier with a flatbow...but so what? You've got Savage Shot for a reason :>

That running map on the OP isn't there any more, could someone post a map of their run?

I have done some FoW Runs with my ranger so far but the drops are really crappy. I just got one shard out of 15 runs.
Is the droprate that low or am I just very unlucky? I always go with Chest Running Teams.
